I recently seen an advert by QMS stating they are not accredited by UKAS as they are accredited by some other Body, trouble is who are these other bodies and what authority do they have? As above Pluto can accredit Mickey Mouse but UKAS is still the only National Accreditation Body for the United Kingdom, appointed by government, to assess and accredit organisations that provide services including certification, testing, inspection and calibration - they are also a member of the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and fully recognised by ISO.
