Business Continuity?

My Local Waitrose Saturday morn …..
During the Pandemic many businesses suffered having no prepared & tested Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery plans in place. Suppliers produced less component parts, components sat on Far East Docks, IT Systems were unprepared for Home Working etc….
The Pandemic has now triggered much of the Snr Mgt who were previously unprepared for disruption, to look at BC Plans or at least identify Key Suppliers & mitigate those supply chains – Plan B for a better Plan A.
Your customers will or should be looking at you.
For the Standards ISO 22301 sets out the framework to produce, test & maintain an effective BC Plan, while ISO 27001 requires that you test your BC Plan and all main ISO Mgt System standards now being “Risk Based” – ISO 9001 requires you to consider all risks to your business.
It is now with increased prevelance that Buyers seek Business Continuity in their Supply Chains, so it comes as no surprise that more & more Buyers also look for assurance through UKAS Approved Certifications.
Don’t be caught with your shelves empty, get ISO Certified!
